- Four-year plan – creating it now or making adjustments to previous plan
- Early planning for PSAT 10, PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, ACT, and subject tests
- Extra-curricular activities and balancing with academics
- Plan for increasing academic rigor each year
- Possible summer activities
Sophomore Consultation
$125/hr, 1-2 hours
Topics include discussion and evaluation of:

- Academic transcript and PSAT 10 if available
- Recommendations for course selection, curriculum planning, balance of AP/Honors classes vs on-level
- Four-year plan – new or adjustments to previous plan
- Consideration of 11th grade PSAT/NMSQT
- Create personalized timeline for SAT/ACT test prep and testing, including SAT subject tests (if desired)
- Extra-curricular activites and balancing with academics
- Summer enrichment activities or job
- Starting a college interest list, introduction to Naviance
- Plan for college visits during Junior year
Junior Consultation
$150/hr, usually 2 hours
Topics include discussion and evaluation of:

- Academic transcript and SAT/ACT scores, if available
- Recommendations for course selection, curriculum planning, balance of AP/Honors classes vs on-level
- Finalize timeline for SAT/ACT testing and subject tests (if desired)
- Extra-curricular activites and balance with academics
- Summer enrichment activities or job
- Creating a college list with Safety, Target, and Reach schools
- The importance of a financial safety on your list and discussing finances with family as you make your list
- Various college application deadlines: UC, CSU, out-of-state, private
- Planning for counselor and teacher letters of recommendation (if needed)
- Use of Naviance and Big Future in college research
- Major choice and how this affects the college application process and admission statistics (impacted majors)
